1.  How do I take care of my tattoo?

You will be tattooed in a sanitary setting using sterile equipment.  Once the tattoo is finished, you will be bandaged.

-Leave the bandage on overnight.

-Take the bandage off in the morning and wash the tattoo thoroughly with soap and water to remove all residue from it. Do not re-bandage your tattoo.

-Pat the tattoo dry and let it air dry for 10-15 minutes.

-Massage a small drop of lotion into the tattoo for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Once you're done massaging the tattoo, remove any excess lotion from the tattoo.

-Massage lotion into your tattoo 3-4 times a day for 10-14 days.

-While your tattoo is healing:

No getting it soaking wet (baths, swimming, saunas, hot tubs).  Short showers once a day are all right.

No exposure to direct sun or tanning.  Once your tattoo is healed we recommend using sun block to help protect your tattoo.

Don't pick or scratch at your tattoo.  Your tattoo will peel like a sunburn or snakeskin in 3-7 days.  The massage will take off the dead skin as it is ready, don't help it along.

-If you have any questions about your tattoo and its care, contact the shop.

2.  How old do I have to be to get a tattoo?

You have to be 18 years old to get a tattoo in Alaska.  You must be able to prove this with a state issued picture I.D.  No parental consent laws exist.

3.  How much does a tattoo cost?

How much does a car cost?  Each tattoo is different and is priced based on size, detail, where it will be placed on the body.  Estimates are given at the shop, not over the phone.  For out of towners we can work up estimates via email.

We accept CASH, VISA, MC, and DISCOVER as payment.  We also will trade for goods and services on occasion.

4.  Can I get a disease from getting a tattoo?

We use all disposable equipment.  Everything that is used during your tattoo has been sterilized and will be disposed of when we are finished.  Improper aftercare can lead to infections, but those are simple to avoid.

5.  How do I make an appointment?

Come by the shop while we're open and we can give you an estimate and set you up an appointment.  To make an appointment we do require a NON REFUNDABLE deposit that will be roughly 50 percent of your estimate.  Once you make your appointment, you can change it with at least 24 hours notice.

For out of towners, we can consult about your tattoo and appointment times via email.  A NON REFUNDABLE deposit can be sent by Money Order in the mail or PAYPAL.

6.  Can I bring my own artwork in?

You can bring in your own artwork, you can choose something we have at the shop, or if you just have an idea we can draw that for you.
